Bull leaves the clothes aside for now and eases into bed, beneath the blankets. He manages to get Dorian beneath them, too, and pulls him close.
"Sleep, kadan," he murmurs as he settles on his back. "I'll be here when you wake. I'm not going anywhere."
He's made a promise like that before. He keeps it, staying awake for a while as Dorian finally drifts off. Exhaustion will catch up with anyone eventually, and Dorian's as safe as he can be at the moment. Bull eventually follows, worn out by the experience of seeing Dorian like this.
He wakes a few hours later when someone comes through the door. A human Viddathari simply nods politely to him and delivers a large tray of food and a jug of something to drink. The tray is left on the small table in the room, along with a stack of paperwork. Letters, he supposes, or orders. Whatever they are, they aren't urgent. If they were, the woman would have approached him to make sure he had them in hand.
Bull drifts again after that, slipping in and out of sleep and only soothed by the quiet, steady breathing of Dorian against his side.
